Just finished a long day at work or class? It’s time for Taco Cabana!

From 3 to 6 PM on Sunday through Thursday at participating locations, Taco Cabana offers discounts on cold beer, delicious margaritas, and select Tex-Mex favorites. Taco Cabana Happy Hour is the perfect opportunity to get together with friends and coworkers, be it for a casual meetup or a much needed after-work decompression session. Our combination of fantastic food, refreshing drinks, and affordable prices makes Taco Cabana the place to be.

Our typical Happy Hour specials look something like this: $2 beers, $2 margaritas, and discounts on tacos and appetizers. We may feature limited-time-only food and drink choices occasionally as well. No matter what happens to be on our Happy Hour specials menu when you show up, you can always count on a fun, festive Tex-Mex experience, complete with tacos, chips and salsa, margaritas and more!

Speaking of margaritas…

Taco Cabana has a margarita for every palate.

First up is our Lime Margarita. A classic Mexican cocktail with mysterious origins, the lime margarita has been a hit since it first appeared on the scene sometime around the 1930s. Taco Cabana’s Lime Margarita embodies the drink’s 80-plus year heritage and rich Tex-Mex tradition. Our Strawberry Margarita offers a fruitier flavor and is perfect for people who like sweet drinks. Taco Cabana’s Mango Margarita is sweet with tropical notes. If you’re in the mood for a mango margarita, only bolder, try our Mangonada Margarita. This margarita features mango blended with coconut water, layered with chamoy sauce, and topped off with chili-lime seasoning. Taco Cabana’s Strawberry/Mango Margarita fuses summery strawberry sweetness with mango’s Carribean notes. Rounding the list out is our Watermelon Margarita. Light, crisp, and sweet, a watermelon margarita is perfect for days when the sun is bearing down and the mercury won’t stop rising.

You can get Taco Cabana margaritas frozen or on the rocks. We can also serve them in a yard glass.

If you’re not in the mood for margaritas, we also have beer. Our beer menu includes popular domestics like Bud Light, Miller Lite, and Shiner Bock, as well as Mexican beer Dos Equis.

Keep in mind that alcohol is only available with a food purchase—but with Taco Cabana’s authentic Tex-Mex on the menu, why would you want it any other way?

Here’s a few helpful hints when matching margaritas with Tex-Mex:

• A classic Lime Margarita served on the rocks is pretty versatile, but it goes especially well with grilled meats. Pair it with chicken tacos, or grilled shrimp dishes when we offer them. Lime Margaritas are also fantastic with salty choices such as chips and queso.
• Frozen margaritas do especially well when your food has a hint of spice. This rule applies to any flavor. That means you can order any of our frozen options, head to the salsa bar, and create the perfect Happy Hour taco or nacho pairing.
• When served on the rocks, fruity margaritas like our Strawberry, Mango, and Watermelon Margarita flavors tend to go best with milder foods. For these, choose a gentler salsa to better preserve the sweetness of your drink.
• The spicy chili flavoring in the Mangonada Margarita gives you three options. First, you can match it with a dairy-based dish like chips and queso. Second, you can pair it with tacos or an order of nachos topped with a mild salsa. Third, you can invite the heat and go with a spicy salsa. All three approaches are winners.
• When in doubt, order a beer. Bud Light, Miller Lite, and Dos Equis are natural matches with Tex-Mex. Shiner is a bock, which makes it heavier than the others, but this Texas beer has rarely met a Mexican dish it didn’t like.
