(SAN ANTONIO)  – Taco Cabana® re-launches its seasonal fan-favorite, Shrimp Tampico, this week and will offer it through early April at all restaurant locations.


Shrimp Tampico is hand-marinated in each Taco Cabana kitchen in a proprietary blend of ancho chiles and spices. It can be enjoyed either in an authentic Mexican-style quesadilla, made with two handmade flour tortillas, pico de gallo and a blend of shredded Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses or as a taco served in a warm, handmade flour tortilla and topped with shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes.


“We know our customers crave our Shrimp Tampico quesadillas and tacos, and we look forward to bringing back the flavors they’ve been missing,” said Todd Coerver, Chief Operating Officer at Taco Cabana. “We’re also bringing back our popular, handmade Pineapple Chipotle salsa, which pairs perfectly with our Shrimp Tampico.”


The re-launch of Pineapple Chipotle is the latest installment of the ¡Salsa Especial! program, which introduces new, made-from-scratch salsas every six to eight weeks for a limited time. Pineapple Chipotle balances sweet and spicy with a blend of fruit and peppers in adobo sauce.


Pineapple Chipotle is the fourth in the ¡Salsa Especial lineup, following Roasted Tomatillo, Avocado Cilantro and Salsa Crema.
